Robert Merced is an advocate and activist that focuses on protecting the rights of persons with disabilities and the many dedicated providers that care for them on a daily basis. He is an advocate of community service and is a member of the
Residential Habilitation Association—a private network of healthcare providers whose mission is to help enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities by coordinating private resources with public benefit programs. Robert Merced
is constantly and actively working with our elected officials and strategic leaders on a local and state level to constantly improve our communities. Whether he's fighting against unjust laws, in opposition to poor legislation or fighting
for the rights of persons with disabilities Robert Merced continues to provide a voice for the poor, the sick, the elderly, and the less fortunate.

People with special needs are just like us. They can be happy, sad, hungry or even upset. Just like any other person people with disabilities have feelings and can experience any kind of emotions. When it comes to emotions people with developmental disabilities are no different than you and I. What people fail to realize is that most of the time people with special needs just have a hard time expressing their feelings.
